Nicole: Tell us more about your business.
Janna: We aim to reduce stress for the so called ‘small fry’, mainly from a tax perspective. Tax is a difficult subject for most business owners. We aim to make tax fun, bearable and a benefit to each taxpayer as opposed to a burden.

Nicole: What inspired you to become a business owner?
Janna: Seeing the lack of service in my previous employments as well as the ridiculous and unattainable fees charged.

Nicole: What makes your business unique?
Janna: We are a small business and we only deal with individuals and small businesses. We are constantly researching the market for costs, processes and systems to keep us competitive as well as suggest areas of attainable improvement for our clients.

Nicole: What challenges have you faced within your business?
Janna: Learning how websites work, SEO and Twitter. A never ending exercise it seems!

Nicole: How did you overcome those challenges?
Janna: Engaged Bauhinia Solutions and lots and lots of research.

Nicole: What successes would you like to celebrate?
Janna: Made it past Year 1!

Nicole: What business resource have you found invaluable?
Janna: Forums such as Flying Solo to throw around ideas as well as contribute to others.

Nicole: What is your favourite technology you use within your business?
Janna: My accounting software! Cuts down a lot of time and a very smart system.

Nicole: What words of advice would you offer to others starting a business?
Janna: Don’t be too proud to ask for advice and assistance. We’ve all been there before and would be only too happy to help.
